Anthony Okpotu completes €1m move to Qatar SC from Monastir

Nigeria international Anthony Okpotu has joined Doha club Qatar SC from Tunisian side US Monastir for a fee of €1m.
Okpotu moves to Suheim Bin Hamad Stadium on a three-year deal after a season with Monastir, where he scored 14 goals in 22 Ligue Professionnelle 1 matches.

The 26-year-old, who had one year left on his Monastir contract, completed the move to the Qatari club on Monday.
His compatriot and Monastir team-mate Moses Orkuma has also left the Tunisian club to join a Qatari side.
The midfielder has signed for Umm Salal SC for a fee of €150,000.
The duo helped Monastir win the Tunisian FA Cup last month — the club’s first-ever title — beating giants Etoile du Sahel 2-0 in the final.

The Nigerian stars also helped the
Stade Mustapha Ben Jannet side finish third in the league.
While Orkuma has already joined his new team-mates, Okpotu will wait until he his cleared by Qatar SC doctors, having tested positive for coronavirus.
