Wilfred Ndidi scores first PL goal in 16 months as Foxes defeat Chelsea

Wilfred Ndidi scored his first Premier League goal since September 2019 as Leicester City beat Chelsea 2-0 at the King Power Stadium to go top of the table.
Leicester needed just six minutes to take the lead, with Ndidi firing in off post from 20 yards after Harvey Barnes’ miscued shot fell kindly to him.

It was the Nigerian’s first goal in the Premier League since September 2019 against Newcastle.
James Maddison doubled the lead four minutes before the break, after he was earlier denied by the crossbar.
After the break, both sides had the ball in the net, but both strikes were ruled out for offside.
The result was enough to move the Foxes a point clear of Manchester United and into top spot.
