Olalekan Gabriel named MFM interim head coach

Lagos club MFM have ratified the appointment of Olalekan Gabriel as their interim head coach.
Gabriel, a retired player, took charge of the Agege side during the 1-0 loss at Kano Pillars and Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Adamawa United, following the resignation of Tony Bolus after a poor run that saw the club fail to register a win in six matches.

The former Shooting Stars player is seen as a worthy successor to Bolus by many MFM insiders and should he manage to keep the club in the top-flight, he would be made the club’s substantive head coach.
After securing the club’s first win in eight games on Sunday, Gabriel — who has been with Olukoya Boys for over a decade — is now focussed on Wednesday’s trip to Katsina United.
Despite lying in 14th place, MFM are just a point away from safety.
