Ngweni Ndasi and Aniekeme Okon included in Kano Pillars squad travelling to ASC Jaraaf
Kano Pillars have included new signings Ngweni Ndasi and Aniekeme Okon in the travelling squad for Saturday’s Confederation Cup preliminary round first-leg clash away at ASC Jaraaf.
The Kano club flew out on Friday morning and were pictured at the airport boarding their plane to Dakar.
Amongst those with the travelling party was former Nigeria U20 star Aniekeme Okon, who completed his switch to the club this week after his contract with Turkish club Altay SK came to an end.
Another new acquisition, Ngweni Ndasi — a Cameroonian who signed from CRA de Morocco — is also named in the squad, but Ezekiel Tamara, who moved to the club from Lobi Stars in October, is left out.
New head coach Emmanuel Lionel has also included Rabiu Ali, Nyima Nwagwa and Suraj Ayeleso in the squad.
After a less-than-decent pre-season, culminating in the 5-0 defeat to Nasarawa United, Masu Gida head to ASC Jaraaf looking to win back the hearts of many unhappy supporters.
The game will hold at Stade Demba Diop, while the return leg will be played at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium on December 4.
