Alex Iwobi in line for Super Eagles return after testing negative for COVID-19

Alex Iwobi could be involved in Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying clash with Lesotho on Tuesday after testing negative for coronavirus.
The Everton player missed Saturday’s fixture at Benin after he reportedly tested positive for the virus.
He was expected to be left out of the matchday squad for the tie against bottom side Lesotho, but could make a return to the team after another test came back negative.
“Update: @NGSuperEagles forward, @alexiwobi has tested negative after further COVID-19 tests were conducted,” the Nigeria Football Federation announced on Twitter.

Nigeria take on Lesotho in a final group match at Teslim Balogun Stadium on Tuesday.
With the Super Eagles having already secured top spot of the group and the Crocodiles standing no chance of making it to next year’s AFCON, both teams have nothing more than pride to play for.
However, the other members of the group — Sierra Leone and Benin — who face each other in Free Town, are both aiming to seal qualification to the biennial tournament, which will hold in Cameroon.
Benin need just a draw to book a place in the competition, while Sierra Leone require a big win.
