Abia Warriors have sealed the transfer of goalkeeper Vincent Edafe from fellow Nigeria Professional Football League side Dakkada.
Edafe, 19, moves to Umuahia Stadium after two seasons with Dakkada.
The Umuahia warlords, who recently named Imama Amapakabo as their substantive coach, confirmed the signing of Warri-born goalie on Twitter.
“DONE DEAL! We’re excited to announce the signing of VINCENT EDAFE from Dakkada FC,” the club wrote.
Abia Warriors Sporting Director, Mr Patrick Ngwaogu, expressed his delight completing the signing of the youngster, saying: “Edafe is a quality goalkeeper. He was one of the outstanding goalkeepers in the league last season during his time at Dakkada Fc, and I am so pleased we’ve managed to bring him here.”
Warriors, who struggled in the league last season, are expected to further bolster their squad ahead of the next campaign.
