Nigeria senior women’s team midfielder Rita Chikwelu made the most of her first start for Madrid CFF to score her first Primera Iberdrola goal, as Victor Miguel’s team beat Athletic Bilbao Femenino 4-1 to end their six-game winless run.
Chikwelu moved to Madrid from Kristianstads on January 12, after ten years in Sweden.
She made her debut for the club in a 2-0 loss at Real Betis Féminas, replacing american defender Amanda Fresbie in the 57th minute.

The 31-year-old, who played for 77 minutes, netted her side’s second goal in the eighth minute, rising to head home a corner three minutes after Brazilian star Antonia had scored the opening goal.
Another Brazilian, Geyse, made it 3-0 for Madrid in the 20th minute, but Spanish forward Lucia Garcia pulled one back before the break.
The Lionesses hopes of a comeback was shattered when Laura Fernandez scored in the 88th minute to give the hosts a three-goal advantage.
