Super Falcons star Rasheedat Ajibade completes move to Atletico Madrid Femenino
Nigeria senior women’s team star Rasheedat Ajibade has joined Primera Iberdrola side Atletico Madrid Femenino on a two-year contract after leaving Norwegian club Avaldsnes IL.
The striker moved to Norway in December 2018 from Lagos club FC Robo after helping her country claim their ninth Africa Women’s Cup of Nations title.
After seeing out her Avaldsnes contract, Ajibade has penned a deal that will keep her at Alcala de Henares until 2022.

Last season, the 22-year-old scored seven goals in 18 Toppserien games and made the Team of the Week on eight occasions, as Avaldsnes narrowly missed out on Champions League spot.
Speaking to the club media shortly after completing her move to the club, Ajibade said: “It is a great privilege and an opportunity to be here. I am excited to be a part of this team and I hope that together we achieve success. It is a great step in my career and a great challenge for me and I am ready to give it my all.”
