Samuel Chukwueze: AC Milan sign Nigerian winger from Villarreal in €20m deal

Samuel Chukwueze has completed his move to AC Milan from Villareal.

The 24-year-old joins the Rossoneri for a fee of €20m, plus €8m in add-ons.

Capped 28 times by Nigeria, the winger switches to the Serie A club on a five-year deal

“AC Milan is delighted to announce the signing of Samuel Chimerenka Chukwueze from Villarreal CF,” the San Siro outfit announced on their official website.

Chukwueze has penned a five-year deal with the Rossoneri

He becomes the third Nigerian to sign for Milan, joining Taribo West and Taiye Taiwo.

Chukwueze moved to Villarreal in 2017 from Umuahia-based Diamond Football Academy after being scouted in a competition in Uyo, Nigeria.

He played 20 games for the club’s B team, scoring four goals before making his senior debut in September 2018.

With the Yellow Submarine’s first team, Chukwueze — who has been assigned the no.21 shirt — made 207 appearances and scored 37 goals.
