Bendel Insurance qualified for the Confederation Cup after winning the Federation Cup

In the draw, Nigeria’s Enyimba and Remo Stars will discover their opponents in the Champions League, while Rivers United and Bendel Insurance will find out who they’ll be facing in Confederation Cup.

Set to kick off at noon (Nigerian Time), the draw will be streamed on CAF YouTube Channel.

The preliminary round will be played in August and September — with the first preliminary round kicking off on August 18 and the second preliminary round wrapping up on September 30.

Winners of the second preliminary round and the seeded teams will be split into four groups of four teams each for the group stages.

The group stages typically begin in February, so it was originally believed that the 2023/24 CAF club competitions group stages would start in February 2024. However, according to reliable sources, this season’s group stages will likely be be pushed forward to start in November 2023 due to the recently-introduced Africa Football League.
