Desire Oparanozie opens Dijon goals account

Desire Oparanozie returned to Fred-Aubert Stadium to haunt Guingamp by scoring the opening goal as Dijon clinched a 2-1 victory over Sarah M’Barek’s side.
Oparanozie left Guingamp in May after bringing the curtain down on her six-year stay at the club.
On Saturday, the Super Falcons star returned to the club for the first time since her exit —  to net her first competitive goal for Dijon.
The former Rossiyanka forward broke the hearts of Guingamp fans, scoring in the 70th minute to give her side the lead, before Rose Lavaud doubled the lead six minutes later.
Faustine Robert pulled one back in the 84th minute, but Yannick Chandioux’s team held on to secure all three points.
Dijon, who will continue their league campaign with a home fixture against leaders PSG on October 4, are now fifth on the Féminine Division 1 log.
On the other hand, Guingamp — who are without a point — sit second bottom.
