Enyimba have confirmed the signing of Anthony Omaka from Sunshine Stars, who have seen most of their top stars move to other Nigeria Professional Football League clubs.
Omaka joins Fatai Osho’s side — who are preparing for CAF Champions League preliminary round tie against Burkinababe club Rahimo — after spending four years with Akure Gunners.
Negotiations for Omaka’s move to Enyimba Stadium were reportedly concluded as far back as August, but the two-time African champions confirmed a deal for the player’s services on Sunday.
Enyimba wrote on Twitter: “Meet Tony Omaka, our new number 4, driven by passion #TogetherForVictory.”

The 25-year-old becomes the latest big name to move to the Aba club, who have also seen some of their key men — including Ifeanyi Anaemena, Theophilus Afelokhai and Andrew Abalogu — switch to other clubs in the country.
Last season, Omaka scored five goals for Sunshine Stars.
