Bologna 0-1 Napoli: Victor Osimhen scores winner

Victor Osimhen celebrates after scoring against Bologna on Sunday

Victor Osimhen scored the only goal as Napoli bounced back from last weekend’s home defeat to Sassuolo in the Serie A to earn a win at Bologna.
Osimhen headed in at the back post in the 23rd minute off Hirving Lozano’s brilliant cross to record his second goal for the Capania side.
Early in the second half, Napoli thought they had doubled the lead when Kalidou Koulibaly fired in from close range after the ball broke to him, but their celebrations were cut short by a VAR-assited decision.
Referee Fabrizio Pasqua cancelled the goal after spotting a handball incident in the build-up.
Replays suggested Napoli should have been awarded a penalty

Replays showed the ball had hit Osimhen on the arm before the ball rebounded into the path of Koulibaly.
Replays also suggested the Nigeria striker was fouled as he attempted an overhead kick in the build-up, but Pasqua failed to spot the incident — and Genarro Gattuso’s side were denied a penalty.
Despite a late challenge from the hosts, Napoli held onto their first-half lead to secure all three points and maintain their perfect away record in the league this season, excluding the 3-0 forfeit loss to Juventus for failing to turn up for the fixture against the champions last month.

The result moves the Blues up to third in the table with 14 points from seven games.
