Samuel Kalu scores second goal of the season in Bordeaux’s easy win against Dijon

Samuel Kalu was among the scorers in Bordeaux’s easy win over Dijon at Matmut Atlantique on Sunday.
Les Girondins ran out 3-0 winners against Stéphane Jobard’s side to record their first win at home this season, with Kalu netting his second goal of the campaign.

Kalu played for 77 minutes before being replaced by Dilane Bakwa, while his Nigeria team-mate Josh Maja was in action for 63 minutes.
Bordeaux fans voted the former Trencin winger their second best player of the match, with the 23-year-old taking 26.8 per cent of the votes.

The Nigeria star latched on to Nicolas de Preville’s long pass in the 29th minute, cut inside before curling into the bottom corner to double the hosts’ lead after Rémi Oudin had opened the scores with a freekick.
Toma Basic sealed the points a minute from time, tucking home a loose ball after goalkeeper Saturnin Allagbe spilled a shot.

The victory, which ended a three-game winless run, moves Bordeaux up to ninth in the Ligue 1 table with nine points.
