Coach Duke Udi is to remain in charge at Sunshine Stars after signing a new one-year contract.
The deal was agreed on Monday between Udi and the club’s management at the club’s Head Office, Games Village, Oda Road, Akure.
The improved contract, which will expire at the end of the 2017/18 season, has an option of a further 12 months.
Udi joined the Akure Gunners in June after quitting Nigeria National League side Osun United.
He inherited a team languishing in the relegation zone from Austin Eguavoen, who resigned from the job after barely five weeks in charge, and guided them to a 13th-place finish.
