234football NPFL TEAM OF THE WEEK: Ndah, Zulkifilu, Ali join three Abia Warriors players in line-up

There were lots of outstanding performances on match day 22 of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
234football has picked out its star XI from the latest round of action in a 3-5-2 formation.

Goalkeeper: Vincent Edafe (Abia Warriors)
The shot stopper was on fire in Abia Warriors’s 0-0 draw away at Rivers United as he saved all seven of Rivers United’s shots on target. He was voted man of the match.
Defence: three-man defence
•Harrison Ibukun (Abia Warriors)
Alongside Super Eagles defender Adekunle Adeleke, Ibukun was solid and looked composed against Rivers United all evening. Ibukun sniffed out danger to help his side snatch a point against Stanley Eguma’s team — with the result ending the Port Harcourt side’s 100 per cent home record.
•Ernest Governor (Enugu Rangers)
The centre back did a yeoman’s job to repel Akwa United’s firepower — ensuring Mfon Udoh, Charles Atshimene and Ikechukwu Nwani caused no havoc to the Flying Antelopes. The ex-Lobi defender also did well in halting Akwa United’s late push for a goal, following the introduction of Abubakar Aliyu, Wisdom Fernando and Nasiru Jibril. He surely deserves applause for helping Rangers force a 0-0 scoreline in Uyo.
•Olisa Ndah( Akwa United)
In a game where Samson Gbadebo was not at his best, Olisa Ndah ensured Akwa United did not concede in the 0-0 home draw against Rangers. The home-based Super Eagles defender made vital interceptions and was a cover when Rangers went pushing.
Left Wing Back:
•Chimezie Njoku( Abia Warriors)
The teenager was handed his maiden NPFL appearance by Imama Amapakabo at left back and he wowed all and sundry at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Portharcourt. His back-tracking ability and forward push complemented Abia Warriors’ resistance to Rivers United’s advances and helped earn a point for Abia Warriors in the goalless stalemate.
•Right Wing Back:
Imeh Atobasi (MFM)
The attacking midfielder was the hero of MFM’s 1-0 win over Lobi Stars in Agege. His goal as well as his overall performance earns him a place in our team of the match day.
Midfield trident:
•Aliyu Abdullahi (Nasarawa United)
The Nasarawa United midfielder’s brace condemned Fidelis Ikechukwu’s Heartland to a 3-1 defeat at the Lafia City Stadium. You cannot ask for more from a midfielder.
•Oche Ochowechi (Plateau United)
The mercurial midfielder took full control of Plateau United’s midfield as the “Peace Boys” thumped Wikki Tourists 4-1 in Jos. He capped off a fine day with the final goal of the encounter.
•Rabiu Ali (Kano Pillars)
The evergreen midfielder once again turned up with another masterclass. His free-kick goal was a beauty as Kano Pillars got a deserved 1-1 draw against Katsina United at the Muhammadu Diko Stadium in Katsina on Sunday.
Forwards:
•Anayor Ogbonna (Adamawa United)
Though his side could not win, Anayor Ogbonna was amazing in Adamawa United’s 3-3 home draw with Warri Wolves at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe. The forward bagged a brace to announce what he is capable of doing.
•Mohammed Zulkifilu (Plateau United)
The defender-turned-attacker took his season tally to eight goals as he scored twice to add misery to Wikki Tourists’s struggles. Zulkifilu’s brace helped Plateau United coast to a 4-1 win over the Giant Elephants.

Manager: Salisu Yusuf (Enugu Rangers)

The tactician got his tactics spot on as Rangers forced table toppers Akwa United to a goalless draw in Uyo on Monday.
