Enugu Rangers announce capture of Dakkada striker Femi Ajayi

Femi Ajayi celebrates a goalEnugu Rangers have announced the signing of Femi Ajayi from Dakkada.
The Flying Antelopes have not made public details of the deal that has seen the striker move to Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, but Ajayi is believed to have penned a two-year contract with the 2016 NPFL champions.

“Presenting our first catch real catch of the season, attacking sensation, Femi Ajayi,” the club announced on Twitter.
Ajayi becomes the second Dakkada player to switch to Rangers in recent times, following Ifeagwu Ojukwu’s move from the Uyo club to the Enugu side during last season’s mid-season transfer window.
Dakkada, who gained promotion to the top-light after emerging winners of the Nigeria National League in the 2018-19 season, have also seen many other of their top players move away from the club.
Goalkeeper Vincent Edafe and Harrison Ibukun have joined Abia Warriors, while the duo of Spencer Bassey and Osimaga Duke have moved to Lobi Stars.
The Uyo side, who were hit by financial woes last season, have also seen Imo Obot leave for Champions League campaigners, Enyimba.
Having lost most of their top stars to other NPFL clubs, Dakkada are widely tipped to struggle next season.
The club impressed in the early stages of last season, but faltered midway through the campaign and eventually finished 12th on the log.
