Ngozi Okobi scores in Eskilstuna’s comeback victory against Djurgarden

Eskilstuna United’s Damallsvenskan survival hopes received a boost after two late goals — one from Nigeria international Ngozi Okobi — helped them claim a 3-2 comeback win against Djurgarden at Tunavallen on Sunday.
United started the match brightly and took the lead through Felicia Rogic in the 38th minute, but found themselves behind not long after the half-time break, after Olivia Schouhg netted in the 55th and 57th minutes to put the visitors 2-1 up.
Magnus Karlsson’s ladies, though, kept fighting and Okobi levelled things up three minutes from time with her fourth league goal of the season, when she found the top corner with a brilliant effort from outside the box.
And Rogic turned the game on its head — with her second of the afternoon on the 90-minute mark — to complete the comeback.
With 300 fans in the stands, United celebrated the victory — which has almost secured their safety in the top-flight — in style.
The result moves Eskilstuna — who also featured Okobi’s International team-mate Halimatu Ayinde — four points clear of the drop zone.
On Saturday, Karlsson’s side travel to Ini Umotong’s Växjö, who are only two points away from relegation.
 
A win for Eskilstuna will confirm their top-flight status, but could  prove costly to Växjö’s survival hopes.
