NWFL confirm December 9 as kick-off date for 2020-21 season
Fixtures for the Nigeria Women’s Football League 2020-21 campaign have been announced, with December 9 confirmed as the kick-off date for the new season.
The NPWL board revealed the fixtures on Wednesday following a draw ceremony at the organization’s headquarters in Abuja.
“Breaking: The 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣1️⃣ @TheNWFL Premiership will kick-off on Wednesday, the 9th of December,” the body announced on Twitter.

For the first time in three years, the NWFL will ditch the abridged format and hold 30 rounds of matches, with each team playing the others once at home and once away.
In the opening game of the season, former champions Nasarawa Amazons will face FC Robo at Lafia Stadium.

Also on the opening week, champions Rivers Angels will visit Adamawa Queens, while Bayelsa Queens will host Pelican Stars, who are making a return to the top-light after many years in the second tier.
