Ehizibue subbed out in Koln home draw

Super Eagles invitee, Kingsley Ehizibue played his 25th Bundesliga match of the season for Koln on Sunday, as they came from two goals down to draw visiting Fortuna Düsseldorf.
Koln head coach Markus Gisdol made two changes to the side that drew against Mainz, including Kingsley Ehizibue, who got the starting berth ahead of Benno Schmitz.
Ehizibue, who starred for an hour, made two clearances and a successful tackle, before coming off for Spain defender, Jorge Mere.
Kenan Keraman opened the scoring for Düsseldorf five minutes before the break, placing a low shot from close range into the bottom right corner; after German striker, Steven Skrzybski had set up the Turkey forward, following a loss of possession by the home side in their own half.
Just after Ehizibue’s substitution, the vistors struck again with Skrzybski making another assist, but this time, a quick pass to Erik Thommy, whose right-foot shot on the left beat Timo Horn and settled in the bottom right corner.
The host, however, rallied back to score twice in four minutes to salvage a draw, with both goals supplied from a right wing.
Substitute Anthony Modeste directed a long cross by Dominick Drexler into the top left corner via a header, three minutes before the end of regulation time.
Colombia striker, Jhon Cordoba completed the comeback with a thumping header from close range, off another Dominick Drexler cross in the first minute of injury time.
Ehizibue’s Koln sit at 10th position with 34 points after matchday 27, while Okoye’s Düsseldorf are rocked in the relegation zone – two places from the bottom – with 24 points.
