Galatasaray hold discussions with Everton over Onyekuru

Süper Lig club Galatasaray have begun formal talks with Everton over a loan deal for Nigeria international, Henry Onyekuru.
Galatasaray confirmed they are holding discussions with the Toffees, with the hope of reaching a deal for the 21-year-old.
“📍 #Galatasaray today announces the negotiations with Everton FC are underway for the temporary transfer of Henry Chukwuemeka Onyekuru,” the Turkish club wrote on Twitter.

The striker joined Everton in June 2017 after a brilliant season with Belgian side KAS Eupen, but was instantly sent out on loan to Anderlecht for the duration of the 2017/18 season.

And the loan move was proving to be a big success, with the Nigerian international finding brilliant form at the start of the campaign – netting 10 goals in 28 appearances in all competitions.

However, in December, Onyekuru suffered a serious knee injury which kept him out of action for four months.

Arsenal and West Ham both held talks with the player’s advisors after he scored 20 goals for Eupen in the 2016/17 campaign.
Everton completed a deal after they activated his £6.8m release clause, but Onyekuru has yet to make an appearance for the Goodison Park outfit•
