DUKE UDI REAPPOINTED OSUN UNITED HEAD COACH
Duke Udi has been confirmed as Osun United’s head coach, returning for a second stint in charge at the club.
Udi, 42, replaces Adebayo Adesina, who was sacked on Saturday following a poor run which has left the Nigeria National League (NNL) side rooted to the bottom of the table.
The former Nigeria international first arrived at the Oshogbo club at the end of the 2015-16 NNL season. He resigned from the club midway into last season to take charge at top flight club, Sunshine Stars.
His immediate task is to get the club, who have picked only five points from a possible 18 in the NNL Group B2, out of the drop zone.
Udi told the club’s media, “Its a great feeling to be back again with this team. I thank the management for this second chance and I promise to make everybody proud. We will work together to get out of our present position.”
He will be assisted by Tony Alegbe, whom he worked with at Sunshine Stars•
