YOUNG NIGERIAN GOALKEEPER UZOHO HANDED DEPORTIVO DEBUT

Former Nigeria U17 international goalkeeper Francis Uzoho made his Deportivo La Coruna debut on Sunday, starting in the goalless draw away to Eibar.
The Nigerian signed a one-year deal with Pepe Mel’s side in August, but had to wait till Sunday for his first appearance.
Standing at 1.96m, the 18-year-old originally aimed to be a striker before taking up goalkeeping duties.
He did not disappoint Pepe Mel, who gambled by starting the youngster ahead of the experienced Romanian international Pantilimon, as he kept a clean sheet.
After the game, Uzoho excitedly tweeted: “A day that will never disappear from my memory#my debut#thanks all for the support#Forza Depor IN CHRIST ALONE.”
