Nigeria’s only surviving club in the 2018 CAF Club Competitions, Enyimba FC have been drawn in Group C during the draw ceremony held at the CAF headquarters in Cairo on Saturday.

The Two-time CAF Champions League winners were grouped alongside Cara Brazzaville of Congo, Malian side, Djoliba AC – who knocked out MFM FC of Lagos in the play-offs – and Williamsville Athletic Club of Cote D’Iviore.
The Aba Elephants would have to finish as one of the top two teams in the group to secure a place in the last eight of the competition.
Dolphins FC (Now Rivers United) were the first Nigerian club that came close to clinching the CAF Confederation Cup in 2005, but were defeated 1-3 on aggregate in the finals by Moroccan club, FAR Rabat.
Since then, only two clubs have reached the last four, before losing out to their North African opponents.
Bayelsa United lost 1-2 on aggregate to Algerian side, Entente Sportive de Sétif in the Semi Finals in 2009, while Sunshine Stars of Sure lost 0-1 on aggregate at the same stage two years later.
