KANO PILLARS DEFENDER UDOJI DIES IN CAR CRASH

Kano Pillars defender Chinedu Udoji has died after being involved in an auto crash in Kano on Sunday.

The accident occurred few hours after the player faced his former club, Enyimba, in a league match, which ended 1-1.
Udoji, aged 28, was returning home after visiting his former team-mates when the accident happened along Club Road.
News of the defender’s death was confirmed in a tweet by Enyimba.

“We are distraught at the news of the passing of club legend and former captain, Chinedu Udoji. Our commiserations are with his family at this time,” the Aba club wrote.
Kano Pillars also broke the news of the passing on of the centre-back, tweeting: “Chinedu Udoji was involved in a car accident yesterday after visiting his former team mates at Enyimba. This tragic accident happened along Club Road in Kano. Our deepest condolences to his family, friends, fans, and football lovers all across the country.”
Udoji joined Pillars in January 2017 after a six-year spell at Enyimba.
