REMO FORWARD MBAOMA MOVES TO AKWA UNITED

Victor Mbaoma has joined Akwa United on a season-long loan deal from Remo Stars.

The forward alongside team-mate Ochowechi Salefu trained with MFM FC between November and December and even featured in some friendly games for the Lagos club, but an agreement could not be reached over their transfer.
MFM reportedly wanted a permanent signing of the pair but Remo insisted on a loan deal and talks broke down, hence the duo were recalled by the relegated club.
“The management ordered the withdrawal of both players [Salefu and Mbaoma] from MFM after their failure to keep up with the agreement we had with them,” an MFM official told Goal in December.
On Friday, though, Remo cleared the uncertainties surrounding the immediate future of the pair, as they announced on Twitter that Mbaoma has joined Aiteo Cup winners Akwa United, while Salefu moves to Rivers United.

The club also confirmed the departure of Ekene Awazie, who has completed a loan move to FC Ifeanyi Ubah.
