BIRMINGHAM REGISTER INTEREST IN ABDULLAHI

English championship side Birmingham City have expressed strong interest in signing Nigerian international Shehu Abdullahi.
The 24-year-old, who impressed during Nigeria’s Russia 2018 qualifying campaign, is out of contract at Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta next summer.
According to the Dailymail, Abdullahi would be available for a fee of £500,000 in January, with his side reluctant to let him leave for free in the summer.
He has made 15 appearances so far this season for Anorthosis, who are placed second in the Cypriot First Division table and a point behind leaders AEK Larnaca.
Birmingham, currently bottom of the Championship, will give manager Steve Cotterill funds to strengthen the Blues squad to boost their hopes of avoiding relegation.
