ROHR HANDS MIKEL START AGAINST ARGENTINA


Mikel Obi will return to the Nigeria starting XI for Tuesday’s friendly against Argentina, officials have confirmed.
The Nigeria captain was left out of the last World Cup qualifier against Algeria in Constantine on Friday, but coach Gernot Rohr has decided to include the midfielder in the starting line-up for the potentially explosive friendly with the South Americans, who will be without their inspirational captain, Lionel Messi.
Officials also confirmed that the friendly match, which will be held in Krasnodar, will kick off by 5pm Nigerian time.
“The game will start at 7pm local time, which is 5pm in Nigeria,” Super Eagles spokesman, Toyin Ibitoye, informed.
Weather conditions in the Russian city are similar to the cold the team encountered in Constantine, Algeria – lowest 6-9 degrees and warmest 17-19 degrees.
Organisers announced that a maximum of of six substitutions per team will be allowed for this match.
