Chinedu Udechukwu has joined Rivers United from Kstsina United.
Rivers United announced on Wednesday that the big forward has completed a deal that will see him play for the Port Harcourt side next season.
“We have just completed the signing of striker, Chinedu Udechukwu. He joins us from Katsina United FC. #WelcomeUdechukwu #RUFC,” the club wrote on Twitter.
Last week, reports claimed the 22-year-old, who scored 11 league goals last season, had signed for champions Plateau United. However, Katsina United denied the claims, saying they expected the striker to respect his contract with them.

“The player has a contract with Katsina United till 2019 and we expect him to see through this contract,” a club statement read.
“We have not received any official bid for the player and would rather call on any club interested in our players to follow the laid down rules and not to be tapping up players who are under contract with other clubs

Udechukwu joined Katsina United from Mighty Jets at the start of last season.
