“We know a lot of things about this team (Cameroon) because we had the opportunity to see them not only in AFCON, but Confederations Cup.
“We have the return of the experienced [players], we have some new players who are strong and we have a very good spirit.”
Gernot Rohr on his team’s readiness for Friday’s clash with Cameroon.
“We are coming back to Uyo (Godswill Akpabio International Stadium) because it’s the best pitch in the country, a nice stadium, and we have good conditions here and we are feeling good here.”

I spoke with him (Vincent Enyeama). He is ready to come back, but he must be fit and has to find a new club.

“There’s always motivation to go to the World Cup. The World Cup is the best tournament in the world to football players. 
“We are ready to make sure we qualify for the World Cup. For me, it doesn’t change, I still want to play, if I can play for another ten more World Cup (laughs).”

“It’s a good one as a goalkeeper getting a chance, but the most important thing is for you to make good use of it. 
”I’ve been with the team for the past two years, the most important thing is that I’ve understudied my brothers, Carl Ikeme and Daniel Akpeyi, and I think i’ve gathered a lot of experience from them.
“And I think by the special grace of God, I’m going to make good use of it.”

“It’s always a disappointment to be injured, but i don’t think it does affect the way we play together or the partnership [with William-Troost Ekong].
“I don’t look to the past because injury is injury, it’s part of the game, unfortunately, but I don’t think it’ll affect us.”
