Akwa United forward Mfon Udoh has described winning the league with the Promise Keepers as special.
The Uyo club defeated MFM 5-2 at Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Sunday to confirm themselves as Nigeria Professional Football League champions.

Having lifted the trophy with Enyimba back in 2015, it means this latest NPFL winners’ medal is Udoh’s second.
But as he explained to 234football, claiming the league title with Akwa United is remarkable.
“I feel excited. I felt this way some years ago but this particular one means a lot to me because I won it with my state team. I won it on my home soil, I won it with my home team.”
He added: “It really means a lot to me. I feel so happy about it.”
Udoh — record holder for the most goals scored in a single NPFL season and NPFL all-time top scorer — fired in his side’s third goal of the game to take his tally to eight for the season and move level with fellow Ikono-born striker Ndifreke Effiong, who left the Promise Keepers for Libyan outfit Ahli Benghazi in May.

Charles Atshimene put Kennedy Boboye’s men ahead with a looping header in the 24th minute and just before the half-time whistle, Alimi Adebayo turned Samuel Amadi’s cross into his own net to double the home team’s advantage.
Two minutes after the hour mark, Udoh made it 3-0 for his side — controlling Ubong Friday’s cut-back before curling into the bottom corner.
Michael Mbonu pulled one back through a spot-kick after Olisa Ndah was adjudged to have brought down Denis Obasi in the area. Atshimene scored his second of the evening seven minutes later to restore his side’s two-goal advantage, but Obasi found the net with a minute of normal time left to play, sparking hopes of a late comeback.
However, in the second minute of stoppage time, Atshimene completed his hat-trick to put the game beyond the Lagos side — and seal the title.
