Michael Ohanu re-signs for Kwara United
Michael Ohanu has rejoined Kwara United alongside Adeshina Gata and Afeez Nosiru, the northwest club announced on Monday.
Ohanu arrives the club for a second spell, following the expiration of his Akwa United contract in August.
The 6ft tall centre forward has been assigned the no.19 jersey.
“Welcome 🔙 to Kwara United, Adeshina Gata, Michael Ohanu and Afeez Nosiru!,” the club confirmed the return of the trio on their official Twitter account.

The striker, whose first spell with the club began in 2015, has penned a deal that will keep him at Kwara State Stadium until August 2023.
He was a fans’ favourite during his first stint at the club.
The 22-year-old scored 21 goals during the 2016-17 Nigeria National League season to emerge top scorer in that division and help the Harmony Boys secure promotion to the Nigeria topflight.
During the mid-season transfer window of the 2017-18 campaign, Ohanu moved to Elkanemi Warriors on loan.
The following season, he signed for Lagos club MFM — and then moved to Akwa United in September 2019 on a one-year contract.
After a nightmarish season with the Promise Keepers, where he featured in only seven out of 25 league games before the campaign was halted by the Coronavirus pandemic in March, Ohanu will be looking to rebuild his career in Ilorin.
Gata and Nosiru — who both had indifferent seasons with Wikki Tourists and Niger Tornadoes respectively — will also be aiming to revive their careers at the club.
Abdullahi Buffo’s side, who spent much of last season in the Nigeria Professional Football League bottom-four, are desperately in need of reinforcement.
Last month, they boosted coach Abdullahi Biffo’s roster with the signing of experienced former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Dele Aiyenugba.
