Anam, Ologbosere named in Falconets World Cup squad
Nasarawa Amazons striker Imo Anam has been named in Nigeria’s squad for the U20 World Cup.
Coach Christopher Danjuma has selected Rivers Angels quartet Mary Ologbosere, Chiamaka Nnadozie, Mary Saiki and Blessing Ezekiel for the tournament that will hold in France from August 5 to 24.
Highly-rated FC Robo striker Rasheedat Ajibade has also been included along with team-mates Gift Monday and Chidima Okeke.
Danjuma, however, left out prolific scorer Charity Reuben — last season’s top scorer in the Nigeria top flight.
Grouped with Haiti, China and familiar foes Germany, the Nigerians open their campaign with a fixture against the European giants Germany on August 6.
