FOREIGN LEGION: SIMY'S CROTONE RELEGATED

Crotone have been relegated to the Seriè B after losing their last game of the season.

The club needed a win on Sunday and also results at fellow relegation-battlers, Cagliari and Spal, going their way, to keep their top flight status. However, results were bad on all fronts — the Calabria side lost 2-1 at Napoli, while Cagliari and Spal won their respective matches.
Crotone striker Simeon Nwankwo, who has been in good scoring form lately, played from start to finish but could not add to his seven-goal tally.
 The 25-year old — a surprise inclusion in Nigeria’s provisional list for Russia 2018 World Cup — will be hoping to make Gernot Rohr’s final cut for the World Cup•
