OMERUO JOINS NIGERIA SQUAD FOR ALGERIA CLASH


Kenneth Omeruo and Kayode Olarenwaju have received late call-ups for Nigeria’s World Cup Qualifier against Algeria

at the Stade Mohamed Hamlaoui, which will be held on Friday.
Omeruo replaces Ogenyi Onazi, who picked up an injury in Trabzonspor’s goalless draw at Kayserispor in a Super Lig match on Saturday, while Girona’s Olarenwaju takes the place of Moses Simon.
On Sunday, the Super Eagles technical crew and backroom staff arrived in Rabat, alongside four players – Ahmed Musa, Wilfred Ndidi, Mikel Agu and goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa.

They were joined by Oghenekaro Etebo, Alex Iwobi, Olanrewaju Kayode, Henry Onyekuru, Chidiebere Nwakali, Kelechi Iheanacho, Uche Agbo, Chidozie Awaziem, Kenneth Omeruo and Hapoel Beer Sheva duo – John Ogu and Anthony Nwakaeme – on Monday.
Meanwhile, team captain Mikel John Obi, as well as goalkeepers Francis Uzoho and Daniel Akpeyi, are expected at the team’s base in Rabat on Tuesday.
Barely 24 hours after the game in Constantine, the Nigeria team will fly to Krasnodar, where they’ll square up against Argentina in a friendly on Tuesday.
