CHIPOLOPOLO CONTINUE PREPARATION FOR CLASH WITH NIGERIA
Zambia senior men’s team held their first training session today since arriving their base in Ghana, as they continue preparations for Saturday’s World Cup Qualifying clash with Nigeria.
The Chipolopolo touched down in Accra at 3:30pm (Nigerian time) on Sunday and the players were taken to Best Western Premier Hotel.
On Monday, the team had their first training session at the Marcel Desailly Sports Complex in Accra, Ghana.
Orlando Pirates’ Justin Shonga and Ajax Cape Town’s Roderick Kabwe have already teamed up with the team in Ghana, with more foreign based players expected later in the day.
Nigeria lead Group B on 10 points, while Zambia lie second, trailing Nigeria by three points.
With two round of matches left to play, Zambia need at least a draw from their trip to Nigeria to have any hope of qualifying for next year’s World Cup.
