NPFL: KATSINA UNITED VS AKWA UNITED MOVED AGAIN
The Matchday 11 fixture between Katsina and Akwa United has been moved to March 29, following the League Management Company’s approval of Akwa United’s request for a 24-hour shift.
The match, earlier rescheduled from March 4 to March 28, will now hold on March 29, according to a statement released on Tuesday.
Consequently, Katsina United’s Matchday 15 fixture with Nasarawa United, scheduled for April 1, will now hold on April 2.
Chief Operating Officer, LMC, Salihu Abubakar, who communicated the decisions, said the 24-hour difference was to accommodate travel difficulties involving the clubs.
All other fixtures, according to Abubakar, remain as scheduled, but Plateau United and MFM FC — campaigning in the CAF Champions League — “would not be part of the regular Matchday 13 fixtures that holds on Sunday across eight other venues.”
Plateau United are home to a Tunisian side while MFM travel to Algeria for the return leg of their fixture.
