Genk goal machine Paul Onuachu edges closer to Premier League move

Nigeria star Paul Onuachu is close to sealing a transfer to the English Premier League, according to reports.
Onuachu is understood to be wanted by some top clubs in Europe following a brilliant season that saw him score 35 goals in 41 appearances for KRC Genk.
The 27-year-old was reportedly on the wishlist of Italian side Lazio, but it appears the player will be making a switch to England, with Own Goal claiming that the striker’s agent is in London to negotiate with both West Ham and Brighton.
West Ham coach David Moyes is understood to be in the market for a striker. They have also been linked with Inter Milan’s Martin Satriano, according to Daily Mail.
However, the Hammers currently have only one experienced centre-forward in their ranks — Michail Antonio. They are understably keen on adding a proven goalscorer to their squad, and Onuachu — who fancies a move to the Premier League — fits the bill.
Back in May, the 6ft 7in striker, while talking to Votebal Nieuws, admitted he would welcome a move to the English top-flight, specifically to Arsenal, where his compatriot Nwankwo Kanu, had made a name for himself between 1999 and 2004.
“I really like Arsenal. [Emmanuel] Adebayor was one of the players I admired the most who played there. I really was a fan of him, as well as Kanu. I really love watching Arsenal too,” Onuachu had said.
