Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen loses father

Patrick Osimhen, father of Nigeria international Victor Osimhen, has passed away at the age of 80.
The father-of-seven — whose son plays for French club LOSC Lille — passed on on Sunday.
Edo-born Patrick died from illness, according to family sources.
Victor, who lost his mom in 2001, announced the death of his father on Twitter.

“RIP, Dad. No words to describe this feeling,” he wrote alongside crying and broken-heart emojis.
Shortly after the junior Osimhen announced the demise of the businessman, Lille sent a message of condolences to their star striker.
“The Ligue 1 club wrote alongside the prayer emojis: “Today we learned with great sadness of the passing of @victorosimhen9’s father.
“The entire LOSC family is joined in grief with Victor and his family. He has our full support during this difficult time.” 🙏❤️
Victor, 21, joined Lille last year from Wolfsburg, following an impressive loan stint at Charleroi.
He scored 13 goals in 27 Ligue 1 matches before the league season was abruptly ended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
