AGBO SEES RED IN STANDARD LOSS

Uche Agbo became the third Nigerian player to receive his marching orders in the Belgian top division this week when he was sent off in Standard Liegè’s loss at KV Kortrijk on Wednesday.
The midfielder was dismissed for a second bookable offence on 42 minutes.
Despite their numerical disadvantage, the visitors took the lead — through a 65th-minute penalty. However, a Pedro Cavanda own goal and Jèrèmy Perbet’s stoppage-time goal handed Kortrijk, who were without their Nigerian midfielder Abdul Ajagun, all three points.
On Tuesday, Peter Olayinka received a straight red card in Waregem’s humiliating 0-4 home loss to Charleroi; while Samuel Kalu was sent off in Gent’s 0-1 defeat at Anderlecht — a game that also saw Kalu’s compatriot Moses Simon go into the referee’s book.
The former AS Trenčín winger received his marching orders moments before the end of the game.
