ALHASSAN JOINS AUSTRIA WIEN
Vienna club FK Austria Wien have signed Nigeria international Ibrahim Alhassan from Akwa United.
The Austrian champions announced that the 20-year-old has signed a season-long loan contract, which includes an option of a permanent move.
Alhassan, who was in the stands on Thursday to watch Wien’s UEFA Europa League fixture against Croatian side Osijek, says he’s looking forward a new challenge.
“I am delighted to be part of Austria from now on. I can not wait to get to know the team and work hard together to make even more success with it,” the 6′ 4″ midfielder said.
Sport Director Franz Wohlfahrt believes the former Wikki Tourists player will add a lot to his side.
He said: “Ibrahim Alhassan Abdullahi is a player with great potential. He is a team player who has speed and good ball handling. We are convinced that this transfer is one with a great perspective.”
